DECEMBER 2006: Back to Rome, Italy! We returned to Rome for Christmas.

Above: our apartment on Via dei Coronari; my photographic mission was to capture as many Madonnas as possible, which was quite the task considering they adorn almost every building; naturally I made a pilgrimage to my favorite Caravaggios; Below: dinner at our favorite spot near the Pantheon; the life-size Nativity at the Vatican on Christmas Eve...nice, but I want a job upgrading it for next year...I'm thinking live animals!  And would it kill them to put in a song and dance number?

MARCH 2005: We were off to Rome, Italy, to begin collecting photos, film footage and research for a new multi-media theatrical production based on the life of 17th century Italian painter Michelangelo Merisi de Caravaggio.

DECEMBER 2004: I shot lots of film footage in Venice, Italy during my stay there at Christmas (perhaps to be used in our future play about Caravaggio since some scholars believe that Caravaggio may have fled to Venice while on the run from the law after killing a man.  It is here that he may have become acquainted with the work of Giorgione, a painter he greatly admired and could only have seen in Venice.)  (Right: one of the spectacular views from my palazzo's window.  Heaven on earth.
